Owen Display Gun For Sale

We just listed this Owen Display Gun (made from an Owen parts kit) for sale on Gunbroker: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=360244027

We didn't make it, but it has to be about the nicest one we've seen and has the correct military green over railway yellow paint scheme (yes they actually left the factory this way!), unlike every other dummy I've seen.

It actually looks better in person. Believe it or not, that's what they looked like when they rolled off the production line. The original paint used was not very durable, you don't see a lot of Owens with original paint. One of the only ones that I'm aware of in the US that has decent paint is the gun that was owned by Bob Farris. Even this one an the Australian War Memorial that was taken off the production line and never issued is scratched up:

I have a much better quality pic of this gun (which unfortunately I can't show for copyright reasons) and i have seen it in person and it's much brighter than in the pic on their website.
