How many sears, extractors various springs etc should you have on hand

Recommended Posts

I am wanting to amass a life time supply of spares for my MKII so far I have put at least 5k rounds through it since I got it with out anything breaking. I have had to re file the sear surfaces on the bolt and sear one so far since they were starting to round off. The sear is doing it again. I think it happens when people who I let shoot it don't quickly release the trigger.

Aside from that how many milled sears, sear pins, trigger springs, extractors, extractor springs bolts, etc, etc would one be advised to keep on hand to constitute a life time supply if one were planning on shooting at least a thousand rounds a year for the foreseeable future?

It appears that you will be the one answering your own question as these guns seldom were used in military use as much as we are using them. I noticed with the Sten, that at least 2 types of sears are used, one appears to be stamped and the other solid machined. Extractors and extractor springs don't get changed unless there is a problem with ejection.
