car wash chris
I've been watching Strum, Sub Guns & GB for a couple months now have yet to see a registered kit for sale or sell. Ruben has sold 4 GI M1 Carbines that have been convereted to select fire { registered receiver guns } in the last month for $6995 ea. If these had been registered kit guns should a guy pay less or more than want he got for the registered receiver guns. I would idealy like to find a registered kit so I can move it around from host to host, but am lost as to their value ? Thanks Chris
jim c 351
Chris,The M2 kits without the carbine come up for sale now and then. You just have to keep looking. Some times carbines are offered for sale and the seller doesn't specify whether the receiver or kit is the registered part. That could be the case with some of Rubens FA carbines. You have to call and ask.Not long ago the kits were selling for 5K. Since the panic buying that started a year ago the dealers are jacking the price up and finding buyers. This is happening to all class 3 firearms, especially the Uzi , which have doubled in 2 years. You either have to pay the price or wait for a deal.Jim C
