Duce0811
I was recently in the Philippines visiting with family and ran across this Inland M1 carbine. It has been in the family for many years. I have not seen one like it before. Mine and all of the ones I have seen are black, or parkerized in a dark color. Also has the non adj. Rear sight. Any info. Would be greatly appreciated. Sandman1957
Need more info and photos. Start with the SN. You can XX the last two digits if you prefer, that will give an estimated production date. On the barrel below the rear sight should have the barrel manufacturer. Describe the Markings and date.the stock may have stamps in the sling cut. If there are describe them. Is there a selector switch on the left side of the bolt?Tell us all the markings, and please more photos. It has an older sight, and a late WWII / Korean war bayonet lug. n64atlas
It doesn't appear to be a flip sight. Looks like a fixed peep. Not an M2 stock either unless it has been modifies. Really need more pics

Gio
Duce0811, It looks to me the serial # is 501628x. If this the case it was made between January 1944 and August 1944. The finish doesn't appear to be original and didn't leave factory with bayonet band the fixed sight could be factory. As Sandman1957 need more info and pics to tell you more. Frank PS. You will have to take the bayonet band off to read the date on the barrel. Edited August 10, 2014 by Gio
