chitowngangster
After disappointedly finding out that i will never own a real thompson because of Canada's archaic laws,I will have to satisfy myself with shooting off my Thompson MGC model gun. It's as close as i can get. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/sad.gif Check out the photo. In back of me on the shelf above my shoulder are two St. Valentine's day massacre bricks from the actual wall. One is now on loan at the Gerald Ford Museum in Michigan. On the floor beside my foot is a section of Al capone's bathroom wall.Tiles he importaed from Italy for use in his bathroom for his suite in the Lexington Hotel. http://members.fortunecity.com/moran9/7871acd0.jpg Cheers fellas! treborsnikwad
Chitowngangster, Cool photo, and even cooler memorabilia. I've been to your Big Al website many times (even saved a few pages for reference), and my kids enjoy it for all the valuable historical information. I thought I was the only one who enjoyed "putting on the Ritz" in vintage threads...good to see someone else enjoys the 'period', too! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif For those interested, there is a really unique website with a MASSIVE archive of period American jazz music from 1895 to around 1939 that you can stream (and record if you have a good utility) all the greatest hits of the gangster days: www.redhotjazz.com Go the "The Bands" section and you'll get a ton of bands to choose from. Good music for cruising OR cleaning your '21.....

chitowngangster
QUOTE (PhilOhio @ Mar 4 2004, 11:34 PM) I like the shoes. Do you suppose any of Big Al's athletes foot fungus could have survived all these years on the bathroom tile? The way Thompson prices are going, you could probably culture it and sell it on the Internet. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif Ha!Ha! yeecchh!!!!!!!Geeze i never thought of that one wait i'll go have a sniff!
