Black River Militaria CII
If a registered tube build, would have to be a Sten tube, but there are no visible or evident markings on the tube indicating who made and registered the tube. If made from a registered Sten tube, there isn't any evidence of the tube having had Sten mag and ejection port openings, or cocking handle slot, but that doesn't really mean anything, expect that perhaps Desert Ord used a new tube and stamped the registered number on it? Serial number on the tube with no other ID. Looks well crafted.Seller makes an error in describing transfer process. If it has to transfer out on F4 to interstate buyer, it still has to transfer out on F4 to an in state buyer. Some questions need answering about the circumstances of its manufacture and registrations which might put off buyers. As a legitimate transferable, it's a good deal. Possible, questionable registration history has never stopped buyers before in my experience as there is a subset of MG buyers, for example, who buy MGs that were remanufactured between '68 and '86, but we're never actually cut or destroyed to then current requirements, but we're just stamped and registered. These MGs, being illegally registered, usually sell for a significant discount if this aspect of their registration history is known, as it usually is.
