The1930sRust
Why, that's.......oh, there's my calculator. Why, that's $12,500 per gun! Here's a slightly better buy... http://www.arms-ordnance.com/inv/Thompson~5.html I tried to buy my first one from one of these sets. I see one of them sold.... JimFromFL
Once again the Internet has opened the flood gates to a number of gun enthusiasts, but not necessarily educated gun enthusiasts.
The1930sRust
Perhaps there are just collectors out there willing to pay these exorbitant prices because of what the Thomspons are, not what they were...cost makes not a Thompson--it just is! Bruce L
Would be interesting to know how many are actually paying these prices.
JimFromFL
I say that by the year 2010, which is not that far away, a WH will be selling for $20K. Imagine what will happen to prices on the Thompson's 100 Year anniversary.
Bruce L
Jim, No need to wait 6 years. I'll sell you my WH for $20,000.00 today and we can both be trend setters!
Emmagee
QUOTE (21 smoker @ May 4 2004, 04:40 PM) How about the WH M1A1 on Sturmgewehr for.....$12,999!!!....Oh boy, start the paper work...I wonder how much more to make it work?...out. This guy is either an idiot or fishing for a sucker, a week or so ago he had a MP-40 on Sturm. asking something like $17K. I have no doubt that a WH M1 will one day bring $13K, but not for quite some time.
v188
I was over at my SOT's today. He had acquired a Colt 28 from a local PD. I asked him where it was, he said he got it sold, $30,000.00! Now it was a fine looking rifle, and it had wonderful engraving of the Dept's name and badge, but $30K? I only have one, a Savage M1, but wow! that's alot of money.
