inertord
Picked up a Winchester M1907 .351SL Manufactured in 1949. Its a former Tennessee Police Department Piece that was recently traded out towards new equipment. The 10 Round Magazine is Factory Original to the gun. Also have assembled components to load including Jamison Arms Virgin Brass and 180 Grain FMJ Bullets. Should be a fun shooter this spring. Colt21
Nice pictures OCM. That would be the ultimate 1907. Is that one of the Lebman mfg weapons?
OCM
That IS the lebman Winchester 1907 in Tucson This is my good friend , the late Sheriff Ernie Hudson's son, holding both Dillinger Winchester 07s recovered in Tucson.Second picture is my Dillinger Tucson copy I built. I'm certainly not the only one interested and involved in the history ( outlaws & Lawmen) and respect for the Winchester 351. OCM

Colt21
OCM and Ron, Make the interest in outlaws a club of 10 then. I have a lot of paperwork from the Porter County-Dillinger Thompson and have gone down there to disassemble and clean it for them. I got to shoot it also which was a great memory in itself. I was in Tuscon last year but didn't have time to try and see the guns there.
OCM
Couple of friends on the forum have got to fire the Porter County Thompson, also my pal Sheriff Ernie Hudson. I think Machine gun Mike has a video of him shooting it, as did Ernie. I had talked with Gordon about it also, and what he had done with it.That thing has the most history involved with it , traveled all over the place with Dillinger. I've emailed Mike about it all internals are Colt, he's got to field strip it I think. Be interested in hearing your take on it, if you care to. I think a lot of the guys on the outlaw forum might to, always good to hear someone else's take on 7387.We shouldn't steal this thread on it tho. dalbert
Frank, Congratulations on your Model 1907 acquisition. I finally joined the club in 2016. You're going to make me want to reload for mine now, though. I have a couple of boxes of the Jamison loaded ammo, but I've only shot it with vintage ammo so far. Stay safe, FrankOut of interest if you have determined the date of manufacture from the various websites on the internet, these are very inaccurate. For example s/n 49223 which is held in the Imperial War Museum in London will date to 1947 but the Winchester polishing room records date it to 9th February 1939.My own rifle s/n 30476 dates to 1914 on the internet but entered the polishing room on 18th January 1912. Needless to say there could be some time before a rifle was actually shipped from the factory after manufacture.Personally I would be surprised if Winchester made many Model 1907's after December 1941. No doubt some guns could have been assembled after this from parts, but I do not believe the guns were manufactured at all after the war. Just my opinion of course. OCM
My records show , example 49223 would be one of the 538 produced in 1939 thru 1940. 30476 one of 1883 produced 1913 thru 1914. No models produced 1943- 1947. Henwood has the probable production going from 1948- 1957 with 4900 in 56-57. Don't have records in front of me, on when Winchester changed the Operating sleeve tip, but that's a dead give-a-way for the later production 07s.CJL probably has this when he returns. OCM
Mike- to get a Platinum Pencil Mustache Membership ( PPMM) to the 07 club, you have to trek to the Holy Grail of 1907 351 Winchesters in Tucson, AZ. It's located in the Tucson PD on display. It's like when you first meet Colt Chopper, Don't look directly at it. ( Remember what happened in the Raiders of The Lost Ark. ) They really are a great weapon. Lot of forum guys have em. Even Mr. Albert broke down and bought one. "Typically" the front furniture is sometimes cracked , so look for one that isn't. Lot out there on GunBroker... OCM

The online serial number resources say 1949, but I have not had opportunity to research further. Also thanks everyone for the kind comments and information! OCM
Henwood's guess on 49867 is: 1942= 49551 then 1948= 50000 - 1957= 58500. ( no production from 43-47 )
