taeelec
I own a Savage M1 Thompson and the rear portion of the foregrip is marked 'S' for Savage. I also own an AO-Bridgeport 1928A1 that has a vertical foregrip. I wanna purchase a horizontal foregrip for my AO but I want it to be correct. I've seen some foregrips stamped with a 'M'. What would be correct for an AO-Bridgeport 1928A1 ? This is a fantastic board and even though I'm somewhat new to it (this is my first post) I've learned quite a bit. Thank you in advance for any help. Todd in Oregon
Adg105200
I believe either would be correct for a AO since the wood was one of the things AO did not make themselves. Andrew
gijive
taeelec, Adg105200 is correct, Auto-Ordnance didn't make its own wood products, so either would be correct. I suspect that the N marked wood (Strombeck-Becker) might likely be found on some the AO guns since Savage was probably busy completing guns with their own product, but Savage made parts were used on AO guns. I don't think it makes any difference, no attention to this type of detail would have been given any heed during rebuild programs.
