OldFalGuy
Hi all, first post Seems your experience was the same as mine. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/tongue.gif Just last week I managed to finally receive and install my 42 in a Leopard tank mount atop the AA tripod (real easy remove large pintel and go). This was the way I shot my first 42 and it is a lot more fun than just off the ground mount, I can't stand to squat that low anymore. Ground mounts are better for impressive sustained fire for several belts but the stand up is a lot of fun.
c2builder
Whenever I take a Post Sample '42 to the local range for testing (only NFA range around), it always draws a crowd. If you shoot it from the bipod it's really a handfull! I once stopped a Sunday Skeet Match because everyone was filtering down 2-3 at a time to watch this beast run. Everyone there couldn't get enough of looking and touching the MG42. Best thing the Germans invented. IMO. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif
DARIVS ARCHITECTVS
I know the feeling, being another MG-42 owner. I never miss an opportunity to share the fun with friends and acquaintances...
