yohuang
I got 3 STEN recoil springs. (1) The top one was bought from a dealer. It's very short, 8".(2) The middle one was the spring originally came with the gun. Its length is 9".(3) The bottom one came from gunbroker "Sten Parts Kit", it's about 10.3". What's supposed to be the "correct" recoil spring length for the MKII ?
m3bobby
I dont think the overall length makes much difference. They should be, if I remember correctly, 15 1/2 coils. As they get tired they loose a little length, if you have any with 15 1/2 coils, pick the longest and stretch the others to match. They will loose their length again eventually but theres not much you can do about that. As long as the guns run fine with them theres not much of a issue.
