NFA amnesty
I just picked up my C&R Sten on Saturday but leaving for vacation tomorrow, so have not had time to take photos/post yet. Form 4 lists it as Mk1 and that is also marked on the mag well along with Mk2. This is a very early sten. It came with a T-Stock with matching patina but not sure if it is original to the weapon. One thing I did not realize is the serial number is on the barrel and matches!! Thought that was more of a German thing and surprised the British took the time to put a serial number on the barrel. Although it is marked MK1 on the Form 4, it is a MK2 Sten. Looking forward to shooting it.
Robert Henley
Let us know how it goes at the range. My C&R MKII STEN is one of my favorite guns. Light weight and smooth as silk. Robert

WinSten
I believe an R prefix stands for RSAF ( Royal small arms Enfield). They also used an E prefix. But both examples are documented in Peter Laidlers Sten machine carbine book.
