The top cover Trommelhalter was $1750 about 1 year ago. I bought the Patronentrommel 34 for ~ $5200 in Jan 2020. Regardless of the money and time involved, it's definitely an addiction! I've heard that Ryan is a very big collector of this stuff as well.

And a very big thanks to JohnsonLMG41 for getting me the lead on the winding/adjustment key for the double drum which I was able to purchase from AAS in France!

Wow, sounds like you got some good deals. Have you got a spare recoil spring tube? Pretty sure I still have one, maybe even has a spring in it. Let me know if you have interest.

That's a crazy great deal. I think just the drum alone typically cost the full amount you paid.

On a auction today I just saw a auction selling the top cover with hole bunch of other mixed machine gun parts sell for $1200. I was hoping due to the mislabeling no one would bid on it. They had the expected price to be $300-$400 LOL.

The MGZ optic in that same auction was nice. Did anyone here buy it?

This loader was also a nice find:

Yeah, after owning an original doppeltrommel topcover, the repros are easy to spot.
