Just tripped over a major problem while reloading.  What appeared to be a brass cartridge case is magnetic.  It's brass-washed steel.  The headstamp is SIG.  I got a magnet and pulled a couple of dozen similar cases, all headstamped SIG, out of my brass cache.  I don't understand why a company like SIG with a reputation for quality would risk that reputation by pulling this sort of BS.  I understand that steel cases ammo is cheaper to manufacture and if people want to use it that's their choice.  However making it look like brass-cased ammo is just plain deceptive...and damned hard on reloading equipment as well as some, if not most, guns.

SIG won't be getting any of my business.
