IO M1a1 Bolt

Recommended Posts

Don’t know if this topic has been discussed before and given my not so positive experience with a Sten part from them. What’s the census on there bolts. Thank you.

We bought one and I actually plan on testing it tomorrow in our West Hurley M1 Thompson. I'll post up some results after the fact.

Awesome. Thank you sir!

Happy to report no issues in firing the Indy Ordnance M1A1 bolt. Though I would always recommend a NOS Savage bolt over a commercial reproduction, especially when the price of the Savage is better than the Indy Ordnance bolt.... :) At least in our (ww2armor.org) West Hurley M1, the IO bolt worked flawlessly.

I've got a blued NOS Savage M1A1 bolt for $225. shipped, if that's of any interest.

Replied with a PM. Thank you.

I have done quite a bit of business with Jason (IO) and his work has always been good. He reverse manufactured a MP18,I bolt for me and expanded the magazine feed lips to accommodate the readily available STEN Mag.  Can't wait to hear how his TSMG bolts rate.

I took some 0000 steel wool and a little Hoppies and cleaned it up a little.

Amazing what a little TLC will do. That bolt looked ready for the crusher! Great job.
