Slide Show of Swedish K Build

Recommended Posts

Finally completed my Swedish K post sample (have Type 07 with SOT).  This slide show is a Swedish K built using Egyptian Port Said parts. To say these Egyptian parts were in rough condition is an understatement!   In addition, the Philadelphia Ordnance 80% tube dimensions were incorrect.  Tube was unusable until I welded material in the receiver end cap area and milled new slots.

The Egyptian markings and serial number were removed and I stamped Swedish K markings.  Black finish is Cerakote Graphite Black and the Gun Kote is a mix of Nano Green and Forest Green.  I tried to make this as factory correct as possible.

What color "green" is that ? Looks nice. Great job

Thanks.   Black finish is Cerakote Graphite Black and the green color is Gun Kote - a mix of Nano Green and Forest Green.  A mix of those two green colors is what you see on the Swedish K.

I also experimented with adding black Gun Kote to the Nano and Forest Green mix and that made it a darker green.   I liked that too, but went with the lighter color.

Very nice,  first class job. I wish it were possible for you to build my parts kit, I certainly don't have the skills or equipment.
