trenchcollector
I recently purchased a Thompson that came with a very nice Police Case and full accessories. The dealer packaged the accessories and drum in the Case and shipped it. Needless to say, the drum ended up knocking the divider for the drum free and pulled loose the divider for the receiver. Are there any recommendations on someone to repair this? The brad nails are about 5/8"-3/4" long and I would cause further damage trying to pull the dividers apart enough to reinsert into the dividers
Sig
Sorry to hear that. Yup, they are not made to be shipping like that. Greg Fox he is 1921A on this board, makes his own cases and sells them, send him a PM I would bet he could assist.

Sandman1957
Who was the dealer. Same thing happened to me years back. If you do not want to say public, PM me. If it is same guy that is total negligence.

If so, you can exercise some creative license with the repair. It may be the case that you'll need to cause more damage to get the assembly to the point where it can be put back together properly. Either way, I'd suggest new brads (the old ones can be snipped flush), and using an epoxy on the contacting surfaces after making a slightly and prying the cloth back to expose good wood.
