If yes, well done sir, I had a top bid on line bore it went live No, that one was completely redone and went well beyond my level of interest. The PM63 is cool and interesting to shoot IMO....unfortunately no transferables I've ever heard of. Low power MAK rounds help a lot. The ability to operate it with one hand is pretty neat and a defining feature of that gun.
Remo Williams 1
Swedish K barely beat out my suppressed grease gun. If I listened to my dad and sent off my Valmet M62 in early 1986 to be converted by Bill Wittstein, that may have been my favorite NFA weapon. It is my favorite semi. Having a lot of fun with a PM-63. I just rewelded a postie last week. Still working out a few little kinks but it sure is fun. It always seems like my latest build is my favorite. My M203 with standalone stock definitely doesn't get old. Of all my guns, my M79 is the most fun, easy to shoot, dead-eye accurate and what a bang for the buck!
68coupe
Favorite? Hands down, Ma deuce. I got a chance to fire one while active duty in Uncle Sam's Yacht Club. The ship drove in circles, sinking 55gl drums of only God-knows-what. Second on the list has to be a Thompson 1928. Contrary to popular belief, I find it easy to control. The sheer mass of the gun counters any muzzle rise. Short, controlled bursts help even more. M2 carbine, on the other hand, has a considerable, almost uncontrollable muzzle rise, even with a USGI compensator installed. I've not fired any others. Just my $.02, Karl, 68coupe

Just my $.02, Karl, 68coupe Well, I was not considering the heavy stuff, I was stationed in Europe (1982 - 1985) and ran ranges at Wildflicken and Baumholder and one year I got lucky and ran the .50 range for two weeks. I personally shot more than 10K rounds over the two weeks, using mostly surplus WW2 ammo! Off a tripod with a T&E, or off a M113 with a good mount, that gun hit car size targets at 1000M all the time! Unfortunately, that was really before hearing protection was popular and I now pay the price.

I see that statement a lot, when I do I feel compelled to post this video. The 30-round magazines are the aftermarket ones made in Taiwan, cheap and they work! 2

Remo Williams 1
Frank, I was having some climbing issues with my M2 carbine. My gunsmith at work said my springs were worn. I got a set of Wolf Springs and that solved my issue. Muzzle climb is about a third of what I was getting with the old worn springs.

StrangeRanger
Perhaps they return the bolt to battery just a fraction of a second more quickly and that forward momentum counteracts part of the recoil energy?
Remo Williams 1
Rekraps, I honestly don’t know why, but the recoil is a little stiffer, but the muzzle climb is less.

BillyDixon
why dont you try shooting your carbine against 2 or 3 other carbines then i thing you might get a better feel of recoil or climb on your carbine, , does it feel like the others or does it feel fifferent ? just sayn
Ryo
I would say also that the bolt impact to the back of the firearm will cause muzzle rise. James Sullivan had discussed improvements to the M16 where he modified design reduced rear impact and was able to shoot the M16 one handed.
