StrangeRanger
Very stupid price even in the current market. Almost all of that seller's prices are "aspirational"

signal_4
I’ve often contemplated offering $5000 and hoping the seller sees it after having several adult beverages and maybe sees an extra ghost 0 and accepts lol.

How was the gun inactivated / reactivated? Was it cut? any welding or other marks still seen on the gun?

To me, that’s just a SMG missing a barrel.
billie32
It was amnesty registered as a dewat…I purchased it directly from the original registrant and had it transferred to US Armament for reactivation.
Zohan
So basically they just have a mismatched barrel?

BillyDixon
back before 1968 a lot of guns like maxim 08 or o8-15 that were just missing the lock assy were considered dewat or unservicible,, things were a lot looser in those days !, just sayn
johnsonlmg41
BillyDixon is correct. Deactivation was in the eye of the beholder back in the day. If a ppsh was missing a barrel, you need to remember there were no "parts kits" available back then...because a Deac. gun was the parts kit, and priced accordingly. Finding a ppsh barrel on the loose back then would have been a project?

Zohan
Why do you think Chinese PPSH sell for 40k and Russian one for 28k? Seems like it should've been the other way around. One of the new pre-simple to transferable Mp5 sold for 80k while old 3 pic mp5 RR guns go for 50 I dont get that ether
johnsonlmg41
The chinese guns are much more scarce than russian guns and tend to be in better overall condition generally speaking. The RR push pin guns were all essentially semi conversions back before 86' thus not technically "original factory" A factory original MP5 was extremely rare as of auction time this week. By next weekend if we find out there are 400 of them that are now transferable, those buyers may have bought into a 7 day "perceived" scarcity. Worse yet, if the rule that's not a rule gets changed before it's actually a published rule that's going to get real ugly. If you're using crypto to buy these premay guns the gamble is probably a wash and you are a Vegas high roller. In the end, I think the sear is looking better every day this goes on, and could be a bargain this week before some people figure this out? That's my take as of today, subject to review in an hour.
Zohan
For the same price, I will take a sear over one 3-pin mp5. Paying a price of almost 2 HK sear price of a 3-pin gun is nuts. I did not look at those PPSHs too close but they seemed to be in similar shape. Fear of missing out gets better off people at the auctions. I hear of some cool pre-may made in the transferable basket like Walther MP vs Beretta M12 and at least one m249. Interesting to see where the prices will settle on those. Rekraps
Savvy shopper says this is a $45K gun. All matching, I looked at is closely... If I had the cash.
