deerslayer
I have some of these with the two different stampings. And ive seen pictures with like a circle "T" . Any mag experts able to give a brief rundown on how many countries might have manufactured these and the markings they used?
RoscoeTurner
The top one with the crown is Swedish and I am pretty sure the bottom one is as well. Been I a long time since I dealt with those.

Agree, the crown gives it away. I bet the other stamp is the actual location of mfg or plant code.
Rekraps
I just pulled the 5 units I have, three are unmarked (Finnish) and two are Crown (Swedish) with one of the two having a "J" in a box in addition to the crown mark. thanks for bringing this topic up, I have two "K's" one Crown on Wilson and the other Port Said on Wilson, so the Crown coffin mags will match the Crown K. StrangeRanger
Shouldn't the Finnish mags be marked with an SA in a square meaning Finnish Army (Suomen Armeija if Google translate can be believed)

JJX
Does the crown indicate that it was made in Sweden or just owned by the Swedish gov?

USMCsean
Tilted crowns are Husqvarna made products. Normal looking crowns are Carl Gustafs made products. I can make a posting on some, if not all, the Swedish made variants and the Finnish made examples in a day or so.
USMCsean
Finnish Made Tikkakoski Oy, most often shortened to Tikka, is on the left. Unmarked on the right. You’ll sometimes see them with the boxed SA marking. And also marked with the serial number of the Kp31 SMG they were issued with. Swedish Made Carl Gustafs - crown laid flat Pressbol Eskilstuna - marked as such vertically along the right side. Subcontracted to produce them for Husqvarna. Husqvarna acceptance mark (tilted crown) on the left. Carl Gustafs - marked with a single, upright crown on the left and also a crown over the letter C on the right. Husqvarna - marked with the tilted crown on the right rear corner. Cebe - marked as such vertically along the right side. Subcontracted to produce them for Husqvarna. Cebe was a light fixture making company based in Sweden that started in the 1890s making lights and light fixtures. One would assume the gained a lot of experience with working with pressing sheet metal. Husqvarna acceptance mark (tilted crown) on the left. Not pictured - going from memory. There was a subcontractor, whom I haven’t been able to identify, that had a marking that was the capital letter J inside a shape. Shapes I have seen were: J in a square, J in a circle, J in a triangle
Lewisfan
Great info. Thank you. Made me dig out my coffin mags to check. I've got 2 of the "Pressbol" variants, 2 of the square box "J" mags, 2 of the Husqvarna "tilted crown", and two "Cebe". Of possible interest one of the "Cebe" mags has "E1" stamped on the right side. The other Cebe does not. Also, the "tilted crown" Husqvarna mags both have "J" in a circle on the left side. Thanks again.
