Fadedkrill Posted April 25, 2024 Report Share Posted April 25, 2024 To give a brief (and as least politicized as possible) context, in July 7 1952, supporters of a political group assembled in the Mexico City Alameda (public park) to protest what seemed to be electoral fraud. During the altercation an alleged infiltrator shot the Chief of Grenadiers, which would lead to the grenadiers and police to open fire and throw tear gas at the multitude. This event would start the Mexican Dirty War. These unnamed grenadiers had these photos taken carrying M1A1 Thompsons.
