Mk1992
Hello! I saw in a Italian shop this complete 1928 rear sight, maybe I'm interested to buy it. I noticed the screws, some receivers and sights was made from the factory especially for screws assembling instead of rivets? Or it's a simple post war alteration etc? I always saw rivets on the rear sights, adjustable or L type. Thanks !!!
bob241
This is what you have, it has nothing to do with the original Lyman sight, it has a cast base with a grafted on old military sight with with only a height adjustment. https://shopkahrfirearmsgroup.com/firearm-parts/thompson-t1b-rsa-rear-sight-27-rsa-t1.asp
68coupe
That's from a 1927, in one of their several varieties, from West Hurley or Kahr. The Lyman sight used in WWII also has adjustment for windage. V/R, Karl, 68coupe
Mk1992
Hello, thanks for your reply! I hadn't this thing, it's a ww2 period era sight or post war? I will check better tomorrow on the American Thunder books. It's also expensive, price request around 300USD.
StrangeRanger
That sight is a current or recent production, poorly-designed, low-quality copy of the WWII era Lyman sight. Not worth anything like 300 USD List price from Kahr for one is $103.10 USD (about 95 EUR)
