Zohan
Any idea on what is the number of transferable full auto mg34 and mg42s in the NFA? How many real deal (mg34 panzer barrel shroud SN matching the receiver) Tanker MG34 is in the NFA? I am transferring one now and this is the only one that I know of in existence. johnsonlmg41
There are some tankers in the registry, but they were not popular due to the fact when they were brought in the ground gun kit was missing, thus they were fairly worthless at the time to shooters. Complete ground kits are rare. I don't recall if they were numbered or not to guns? A lot of matching "as new" parts kits were brought in, but again, missing the ground kit, they brought less money than a normal 34 kit.
Zohan
The only difference between MG34 and MG34p is the barrel stroud. Ground kit was numbers matching to the gun s/n. Yes, complete kits are very hard to come buy. I do have a clamp on front sight / bipod mount. The only part I am missing is a clamp on AA mount. Stock, sling and bipod wore also a part of the ground kit but those parts are the same as a regular MG34 and easy to find. Germany produced about 500k MG34 and 28k armored vehicles ( most had 1 or 2 MG34p in them) Edited August 16, 2024 by Zohan
anjong-ni
Hi Zohan, I got my clamp-on AA mount from AAS in France. Very nice, perfect copy... Phil https://aassniper98.com/en/mg-34/4415-collier-fixation-grille-anti-aerienne-mg34.html The sling holder was made post-war from a ruined perf-shroud AA-sight bracket.
