m14 vs FAL select fire. Which one should I purchase

I want something "fun" to shoot on FA so leaning towards the FAL.

For full-auto fun, the FAL is generally the better pick. The .308 recoil is more manageable in the FAL due to its gas system design, and it’s built to run reliably in auto. The M14 can be finicky in FA and tends to climb more. Yes, FAL mags and parts are pricier, but they’re still available. If you prioritize controllability and classic Cold War vibes, go FAL. If you want a more accurate semi-auto platform later, consider the M14.
