dalbert
There were at least 100 Colts that went to China in 1923, IIRC. It’s a colorful story for which I have much original documentation, though incomplete, and someday I will finish writing it. I believe this photo contains some of those Colts. It has been posted before, but I never tire of seeing it. David Albert

colt21a
DAVID GOOD PIC NEVER TIRE OF THEM. Also i did see one of the Chinese guns well over 35 years ago what a piece of junk. it was a used n.v.a. jungle pickup. and fairly crude. with a stick 20 rd. magazine. probably in some museum today. and a number of non papered 21's. still intact and not being sold for parts. there was also a nice 1928 military Thompson. And i knew the guy{friend} who got busted with it. he went in his yard to shoot it in Chicago, neighbors called. he was taken away the next day. gun probably in chitown downstairs evidence drums. rusting away. have a good 2024 RON K. Frank Iannamico
Those are all Chinese-made Thompsons look at the sling attachment around the (longer, 46-fin) barrel. Probably copied from Colt guns because of the knurled selector and safety and the no-hole mag catch.
