jrlumpp
Does anyone know if a non select fire Uzi can be registered to a LLC in the State of Connecticut? I called the conneticut state office of special weapons for an answer eight times over two months with no response. I’ve had my Uzi in New Hampshire registered to an LLC. I’m considering moving the entity to Conneticut. Thanks
har1690
Being from CT and a RKI, I can't believe there is any reason why you can not registar the FULL AUTO ONLY Uzi here in CT. I would say that it is going to suck having only 10 round mags for it ...Obviously you'll need to do a move of address to the ATF. There is what's called a MG registration card that gets mailed to the state. I have a few if you need some. The state does send out a comfirmation of ownership roughly in June, you just agree with what is on the form or add to it. I'd be glad to hjelp. DINK
When you send the 5320.20 form to BATF to make the address change, I would attach a note specifically stating that the UZI is a full-auto only gun. It should go through without a problem. You would fill out and mail the little 3x5 card mentioned above when the UZI arrives in-state.
jrlumpp
Since my full auto uzi has a 10.5 inch barrel, does it in Conneticut require Also a pistol permit?
DINK
Going by a strict reading of the statutes, yes. If you are going to be a resident or visit frequently, you will undoubtedly want a permit anyway and you can start the process even before you move to the People's Republic. They do offer non-resident permits and since you can't buy a single round of ammunition without one, it's a good idea to go through the process and get it out of the way.
