A Sterling L2A3, made by CPS on a virgin DLO Sterling receiver. These CPS guns are about as close as one can get to an MoD gun, short of joining 2 Para or nicking one from Cousin Eamon down on the Falls Road.

Relatively fast turn-around for a paper Form 4 - just a few days past four months. (Still a far reach from the six weeks my Thompson took, back in 1999.) I picked up the gun this morning, and I mailed off the VASP Form SP115 for my “green ticket” this afternoon.

The last photo is a stock image from the dealer’s web site. The gun came with a nice wooden case, four magazines (three NIW), sling, NIW bayonet, and MoD user’s manual.

Very nice. I have a Andrewski/DLO gun and find these to be a hidden gem in the realm of SMG's. In reality it's the pinnacle of open bolt SMG's and what makes it so are the magazines, which are very expensive if you can find them in good condition. Another great feature (like the M76) is the lans on the bolt, which ensure this gun will run and run and run. I got lucky and have 6 mags NIW and four just out of wrap in as new condition, along with the magazine pouch. I enjoy shooting it but still have issues maneuvering the recoil assembly into the receiver when reassembling. You may want to find a replacement bolt, a few extractors and a recoil assembly for spare parts. They used to be all over GB, but are much less common now.

Now the big question. The mags are easy to load, but I have yet to find any type of speed loader for them? Any ideas?

Also, I have an extra OEM magazine pouch (four mag pouch) that's in new condition if you want. They are specifically designed to take the curved magazines. Send me a PM and we can talk. I forgot what I paid for them, but I figure $30 plus shipping sounds about right.

Thanks for the offer, Scott. I’ve got 16 Sterling magazines and three pouches so I think I’m set for the time being. As an FYI, Apex has Sterling magazines at $52 ea. right now…pretty good price, IMHO. They also have a pretty decent selection of small parts like extractors.   Likewise, Old Arms of Idaho still has a few complete parts kits in stock - barrel and magazine included - for $600. No idea on a speed loader, though.

Speed loader?  Why?  Sterling mags are easier to load than anything else.

Way back when, I got a C3 Loader (remember them, used 30rd clips) that I modified to use with my Sterling mags.   IIRC, it was one made for Uzi mags that I cut a slot in the back for the Sterling mag catch lugs.  They can also use the Swedish K steel 36rd clips.

Amazing, they are still for sale!   https://www.gunpartscorp.com/products/762530c

Are those the same as the K loaders? The look identical.
