I've came across eleven photographic images of Texas Rangers with TSMGs.  To me the most interesting one is of a hatless Ranger with his body and right leg on the right side running board and his left leg inside thorough the window of a moving(?) car.  The TSMG appears as though it has a blank firing adapter.

ETA: The image of the Texas Ranger on the vehicle running board appeared in the Oct., 1939 issue of Popular Science magazine.

I just received volumes 3,9, and 10.  I must say, as much as I thought all has been written on the subject of Thompson submachine guns in the past….and that I certainly didn’t really need any more books on Thompsons crammed into my already burgeoning book cases….I WAS WRONG!   The volumes I purchased were the only ones I thought I needed, but after looking through these, I now know that I must have yet another bookcase built, as I’m gonna get all of his volumes.  These are amazing!
