reconbob
I have handled and dug thru thousands of Thompson parts over the years, and thousands of M1/M1A1 buffers starting back during the golden days at Sarco back in the 1970's. (He had a LOT of Thompson parts.) M1/M1A1 buffers are either un-marked, marked AOC, or marked with the square Stevens "S". I was just going thru an ammo can of buffers and found 4 or 5 (there might be more) marked with an "X". Any ideas? Bob

The X marked 1928A1 parts are Apex Watch Company, New York. I do not have a contractor marking list for M1/M1A1 parts. I would think the X marked M1 parts are likely Apex Watch Co. I’m with TD.
