Mp40 Rear sight spring.

Hi ! Does anyone have an extra spring for the rear sight. Or if they are easy to make am can someone tell me how to do it.

Thanks ! Ya he’s usually my go to person but I think he’s a bit high priced on that one. Seems like it wouldn’t be to hard to make one but I’m no machinist.

I've heard of a person taking mauser stripper clips springs and trimming them to size. Was told they worked, but I've not tried it myself.

Or, you could take a front mainspring off a surplus jeep and grind it down, or maybe one off a train.

Oh I made one last night out of the spring steel in a Mauser stripper clip. Cut it down to size and worked perfectly !

Just grind off anything that doesn't look like an MP40 rear sight spring.   😄
