Hello help with thompson parts kit

I just got my grandfather's thompson 1928 parts kit (I am now to the thompson) is there a legal way to build functional gun out of it or do I have a very price paper weight it's been in my family for close to 100 years any help or direction would be greatly appreciated glad to be a American

There’s no way to legally rebuild it into a machine gun again that would be able to be kept by none Class III dealer/mfg’rs. There are options you have but nothing that’ll make your kit shoot again unless you get another machine gun receiver.
