4473 question

When I do a transfer or a sale I am in the habit of attaching the PA state forms (Record of Sale) any FFL license involved, and a copy of the PA background check receipt to the 4473 forms.

Is attaching other (related) info to 4473s a problem with ATF?

I did ask "the experts" they were not sure...

Don't forget to add a picture of the driver's license.

I'm a little lost Frank on this post.

When I do a individual transfer, The 4473 is the only record I keep.

Is there something I'm missing here ?

Always cover your a$$ when dealing with government personnel.  Their primary job is to find legal issues with others and have them arrested.  That is the only reason they exist.

In PA we have a ROS (record of sale) part of the state background check for handguns, a copy of which is required to be kept by the FFL

In PA we use the state's background system PICs, not the fed's NICS

I also print the State Police background approval form and attach a copy of the dealer's FFL the gun came from.

I don't attach anything unless it's a multiple handgun sale, than a copy of that form is stapled to it.  There in no other data Alabama requires, but it seems you have special requirements in PA so I think you're safe in what you are doing.  For a more definitive answer you probably would be best to contact the appropriate department in PA than ATF.  I keep my FFL's in a separate file  from the 4473's, there is no special requirement from ATF to attach them to the form.

Same. Only thing I'll attach is the multiple sales form or a form 4.
