Remo Williams 1
I’m sure this will be well out of my price range shortly, but if someone here gets it, I’d be happy to buy one of the several barrel shrouds. 😀 https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1090542963
Rekraps
Woah, it has two M45C shrouds! Super hard to find. But... so I need more stuff?
NE Patriot
And it's being sold out of a pawn shop. So...some poor guy is getting divorced or something?
Got Uzi
Been watching this one since it popped up. I could see grabbing it then selling off what I don’t need/want. Who what’s what? Lol

BillinBama
I might bid, but with five days to do I think it's going to approach the cost of all the parts kits combined, so multiple thousands of $$. We all know there are several guys on here that will likely bid. Gonna be interesting to see what it sells for.
Remo Williams 1
I just want a shroud and the lug that holds the hooked end cap in place.
Got Uzi
All jokes aside-it might not be bad to figure up what each other wants as to not run it up against fellow board members....or does that make too much sense?
NE Patriot
Got Uzi, it's a matter of trust. I just sold some Swedish military books to a guy on GB. I send him two notices to pay, and...he calls me. Long talk. He says he's a stocks and commodities broker in Chicago, but can't figure out how to make his Paypal work. (seriously, you're a stock broker and Paypal is beyond your capacity?) I send him a payment request through Ppal. He says he never got it. 3 days later I send another, with some emails, and he tries to call me. Then it gets paid. No apologies, no explanation, no nothing. This is the 5th non-payer I've had in two months. Sometimes they apologize, and it works out. Sometimes not. Sometimes a new member, sometimes a long time member with a good history. Go figure. BillinBama
I'm always fearful of getting burned, and did once last year big time but it was my fault for not doing my due diligence. But I have to say I've done several deals with folks on here in the past few months and every one was solid. In several cases I've ended up getting a new gun buddy and we stay connected after the sale. That's the joy of this hobby I think, almost as much (maybe more?) as the actual firearms/parts involved. WE get to "know" each other and even trade mild insults and kid each other as guys are wont to do. My wife thinks I'm a jerk for acting this way and I cannot make her understand that it is normal guy behavior. I have a group of friend I shoot pool with every Monday and we regularly insult each other's proficiency, then the next game they are our partner and the best pool shooter ever. The commaderary is worth more than the win/loss ratio of the games we shoot. I think the same way about the folks on this forum, we all have gun interests that automatically draw us to one another, then we usually share similar political leanings, and from there things might diverge somewhat, but we appreciate one another's knowledge and the willingness to share it freely, (and sometimes disagree on how to proceed on something. Sorry, I got off subject. What's the parts treasure up to?
Remo Williams 1
That got expensive!
NE Patriot
The buyer is local to me, and we've done business before. He's told me that I can buy the parts he doesn't need.
ZK383
Just as an update: I am the buyer of the lot. The package still shows as, "Latest Update: USPS is now in possession of your item as of 9:23 am on March 1, 2025 in CAPE CORAL, FL 33991"." I have filed an inquiry with the USPS, as has the seller, to no avail. The sending and receiving post offices both have no answer as to where the package is. I'm very disappointed in the situation all around. If it is delivered, I have a short list of people who will have the opportunity to purchase spares/unneeded parts, then I will list the rest up publicly. Thank you. Got Uzi
USPS has gotten really bad all of a sudden about getting things delivered in a timely manor. The sad part is it doesn’t matter if it’s UPS, USPS, or FedEx, they are equally worthless anymore!! Hell I had a package come from Italy via DHL and it arrived before stuff shipped USPS and both were shipped on the same day!! I’ll be curious as to what’s left over as there are a few things I’d be looking to get. Main thing I need is an intact shroud. I bought some 230 .45 bullets for reloading from Precision Delta, who normally has free shipping thru the PO. They have a warning on their website that if you choose the PO free shipping don't inquire about where your package is for 4-weeks. I bought some magazines from Tennessee that took 3 weeks Priority Mail to be delivered; they sat in a distribution hub and didn't move for weeks. MAYBE the PO is having some slow-down/protest to all the federal cutbacks? IMHO FedEx is the absolute worst of them all, their approval rate is 87% negative... ---END OF RANT--
Lewisfan
The USPS cannot be privatized fast enough for me... Recent USPS: Two boxes - same shape and weight shipped from Pittsburgh to Spokane and Pittsburgh to Omaha. Priority Mail for both packages. Spokane box delivered 3 days before Omaha. FedEx (about 4 years ago - last time they were used): Wife shipped some cheap Goodwill purchase plates from Pittsburgh to San Francisco area. Following the tracking the plates went across the South making multiple stops, then up to Utah, before coming back across the country to New Hampshire, then across the country (multiple stops) coming very close to the destination before coming back as "undeliverable". Address was correct. No explanation given. Refund paid. Every dish broken inside package. That one took some higher level skills...

I just bought some floor mats from a guy on the 1M forum and he shipped them Feb 28. They made it one stop and then sat.... and sat..... and sat, until yesterday when they all teh sudden arrived at my house! Make sure with USPS you buy insurance. BillinBama
My lost luggage was shipped FedEx Express(supposed to be next business day delivery), went from Nashville to Memphis to Birmingham and sat in Irondale (B'ham suburb) for 4 days. I had to call and escalate before they delivered it. I should have claimed frequent flyer miles for the bag.
ZK383
Package received today. 30 days from Florida to NH, including one “lost mail” inquiry, one “find my mail” request, and one insurance claim. I will be going through the package tonight and reaching out to those who already called ‘dibs’ on spares, then I will list publicly. Thank you.
