Rekraps
$2K and climbing. Pics are so bad I can't make out the bolt well, that is the key part of the collection.
titus_1133
What do the trigger packs typically sell for?
NE Patriot
Titus, A couple of years ago I sold some NOS trigger packs (sub-frames) without the internals (no trigger, no safety) for around 35 each. They all sold, but didn't sell super-fast or sell immediately. Admittedly, they were probably under-priced. The bids seem pricey. Perhaps the bidder needs a specific unattainable part in the lot. Agree, and one of the lowers is a semi-build. From my perspective, the value is in the bolt as these are no longer available. The problem is that the details are very hard to see and so, even though it appears to be an OEM bolt, it may not be. Barrels are available and the magazine is just not important. There was a NOS 76 bolt on sale at AutoWeapons for ~$1,900 and it sold. Until now, that was the only bolt I've ever seen for sale. Good news is that the bolts will, in most normal use patterns, never wear out. It's the extractors.
Chief762
Yeah... almost 3 grand for essentially a bolt. If I'd needed it as opposed to just wanting it, I'd have fought for it. It's okay, my gun runs fine.

It's okay, my gun runs fine. I'm lucky in that I was able to get an Andrey bolt (w/extra extractors) while he was still kicking. It's much more robust than the OEM one, but takes proprietary extractors.
Don.
The sad thing is that one can’t manufacture parts for these and expect to get anything for a return. Scott Andrey did it as a hobby and was cursed for the slow turnaround. Now that he’s gone, there’s a void. Trying to fill it will get you praised initially and then cursed in the instant gratification clown world in which we reside. I would love to be able to produce rare parts on a hobby basis. There’s no way in hell that I would be able to take on a customer service role by phone or email. Instead of making the parts, I collect them in case I need them at some point.

You could tell by the Andrey web page, cautioning buyers to be nice and patient. Many did not and suffered. I called him all the time and he was always kind and courteous... and he shipped me my stuff quickly.
BillinBama
I talked with Austin today, he's gearing up to make some extractors.

We all have to hang it up at some point. If you speak with him again, see if he’s interested in cleaning out his shop of any remaining parts and put together a list. If you speak with him again, see if he’s interested in cleaning out his shop of any remaining parts and put together a list. That was my approach when I called him. I can only imagine what he has laying around, however i got the distinct impression that he really stopped work some time ago and was emptying his shop of old stock. I guess I was lucky in getting the Andrey extractors (they are proprietary to his bolts). He said he sent me his last two. I also asked about recoil spring guides (none), bolts (none) and barrels (none). Most internals I was able to get from BWI before they collapsed. I also had a very reputable gunsmith make me two billet recoil guides (perfect, solid billet!) that will NEVER deform. Recoil springs are available. The big issue is the trigger bar deforming (the guns were really made for limited use), about which John Andrewski is the absolute master of remaking. He re-welds using hardened steel and forms them perfect. Good for 10K rounds (I'll be dead by then). Most people don't shoot the guns much, so the examples out there are usually almost new condition. Don.
I should probably send my trigger groups in to have them fixed before they break. I don’t shoot it much anymore, but I do like to get it out a few times a year.
