MP 40 parts kit for sale on GB

A thoroughly mismatched specimen from different manufacturers, with no two serial numbers matching. Looks like the receiver was saw cut just in back of the trunnion and then tack welded back together. The safety has cracks, and the rear sight has been modified. I'd think that the value in this incomplete kit would mostly be as spare parts, but it'll be interesting to watch the auction.

I find it interesting that of all the guns I own, my MP40 seems to chug along with nothing ever wearing out.

Right. I had laid in a small stash of spare parts for my MP40 but sold most of them off when they were not needed over a period of many years. I have retained an unused spare WaA623 extractor.

Mine was utterly reliable and nothing broke for almost ten years of pretty solid film work until an ejector broke on set on a very important night of filming (we had that actor for only two days and the ejector broke on the eleventh hour of the second day.)

Tor, from DK productions (who makes MP44 and MP40 reproduction parts) was visiting for two days, as we were filming in GA only a drive from Kentucky, he happened to have one of his reproduction ejectors on hand and switched it out saving the night, I've been running that ejector since then.

(FYI - I have run a Vig bolt with fixed firing pin from day one, I have actually never owned the correct bolt for my MP40, lol)

I will also say with movie blanks, the difference between full flash and half flash on the life of your gun and it's parts is profound, but the muzzle flashes do look great!
