Hi gents, I am a new member and just found this site. I see there are quite a few members here who have the same amount, or more, of love that I do for the Swedish K. Been collecting parts and accessories for year and am really wanting to build a semi auto of this gun. Who knows, maybe one day get a full auto one.

I've had an m/45D kit, or what I recently learned, might be more accurately called the m/45BE model. These are the green painted, select fire models (FA/SA) you've seen floating around over the years. Can anyone share some sources of information of this model? There is something on Wikipedia, but I prefer to have real sources of info.

Lot's of info if you peruse the tons of threads....

but...

By way of this thread, I'll also correct an earlier post in this thread about the types of K's made:

  •   M45 - Parkerized, FA only, removable magazine well, large hole shroud, V1 receiver end cap
  •   M45B - 1954, Swedish Green over Parkerized, FA only, riveted magazine well, small hole shroud, V2 end cap
  •   M45C - same as M45B or M45D with bayonet lug on shroud
  •   M45D - Same as M45B with select fire instead of FA only
  •   M45S - Same as M45 with integral can

Egypt made M45 Parkerized only, FA only under Swedish License
