deerslayer
Kahr and west hurley thompson receivers all have the same acme threads. But some receivers are a bit tight and poorly done. My advice is if you can't screw a barrel in by hand, don't force it. The threads on the barrel may need dressing a little bit in all directions to ease assembly. Major and minor.. and sometimes even the width.

I would put somthing like that up on Weapons Guild.Theres guys on there that will do somthing with it ,cut it down for a delisle carbine or some sort of build.Put it up for the Builders.Somone will buy it for a reasonable price. Probly worth $70 maybe more to the right person who is building a semi thompson and needs a long barrel to stay legal. inspectorudy
Is there any issues with cutting down the barrel instead of a new barrel? How about the little ridge on the M1 just behind the sight if it's cut? Is one way superior to the other?
deerslayer
You mean shortening a 16 inch barrel to 10? The front sight wont fit without a sleeve. The profile is wrong to fit a gi horizontal grip. Fixing those things on the lathe takes more money than buying a new 10 inch barrel.
inspectorudy
Thanks for that information. I had doubts about it but could not find any definite info.
