Couple of "L" Series Wilson K's Sell at Poulin Auction

Recommended Posts

Yes,  I was outbid on both of them in a flash!
They were $7500 each yesterday, and at $14,500 when the auction started.
I am sure the new owner will enjoy them.

That was the final price minus the sales tax.

I got the Port Said parts kits that Poulin had. I was happy with the prices on them for what all was there.

There’s another on coming up for sale next week at Morphy’s along with a pre sample (which I’m watching closely)

Both guns look original, #1 could use some TLC, #2 looks much better. Not often they come up for auction, whoever got them did well!

I was outbid on both near the end...they both sold for very good prices.

You should have kept going.  Instant equity!

Looks like market is right around $24k. They're only worth what someone is willing to pay on that day.  Sounds like folks here were bidders. I feel that is about right. When you're in the $30+k cost there's a bunch of stuff that can be purchased. At the end of the day these are tube guns with no historical provenance.  I have one and want it to be worth as much as possible, but it seems that $24k is what it's worth until we get another benchmark from the "next" sale.

$24k isn’t going to be found on the open market (Sturm) and the auction prices you have to add 17.5% to 23% to the hammer price which puts it at the $28k-$30k range I mentioned. That being said, look at the price of originals and tube guns seem “cheap” by comparison…
