reconbob
I needed a compensator for a dummy gun. Customer was OK with a repro. I found a "mil spec" comp on GB, but upon receipt, it is not "mil spec" and the quality is not good. The slots in the comp are milled straight across (faster and easier) instead on an arc as specified on the ordnance drawing. Result is the jagged edges in the slots. Photos tell the story. TD.
Is there that much of a demand for replacement Cutts Compensators? I have never seen one wear out. Does Kahr Arms sell reproduction Cutts Compensator?
Taliaferro
FYI. There is a version of the comp that uses a straight cut on fins. Tracie
SparksNArcs
I remember seeing that compensator on GB, I believe it was made by the guy producing the Kahr round cocking knobs with awful knurling; 1921 Industries. I'm not seeing the listing for the compensator anymore though, so he might have only made the one.

Bob The CUTTS on the top is the new production? @TD. while they don’t wear out, I believe a lot of the threads were messed up when the Russian/Ukraine Thompson parts kits were taken apart. reconbob
The Kahr compensators are OK, but they are not threaded - they are press fit and pin. The I.D. is too big to screw onto a barrel. The comp in the photos is not 1921 Industries. Tracie - Is the comp with the straight cut slots the small diameter M1921 comp? I have one in my sample drawer and it looks like the slots are straight cut. Bob
Mk VII
For a dummy gun, I suppose it might be adequate.
Sig
Bob David Madlinger is what my contact list has for the owner of this website / Thompson parts maker, it's been a while, not sure if he is still in business. If you read the linked page, you should find he mentions availability of a Type 2 compensator. Good luck https://thompsonbarrels.com
