With David's permission, I am listing a number of original World War Two pamphlets and a manual for sale, which may be of interest to members on this forum.

Small Arms Training Pamphlet Vol. 1 No. 21 The Thompson Submachine gun 1940, featured on pages 331-333 of Volume 8 of The Thompson Encyclopaedia. 
Original hard to find edition of the 1940 edition pamphlet, printed in January 1941. Printed when wartime shortages were hitting the country, it has paper cover, with the final page of the pamphlet printed on the rear of the pamphlet. Features pictures of a Colt manufactured Thompson in the pamphlet. $60

Small Arms Training Pamphlet Vol. 1 No. 21 The Machine Carbine 1944 featured on page 336 of Volume 8 of The Thompson Encyclopaedia.
28 pages covers information and photos for both the Thompson submachine gun and the STEs. The 1st photo in the pamphlet shows a Thompson Model of 1928A, without the Cutts compensator. 
Three copies available, all are in nice clean condition, but staples have rust, as found on most pamphlets from this period from my experience. One is part of batch of 350,000 pamphlets printed in April 1944. The other two pamphlets were printed in same batch of 120,000 pamphlets in June 1944, see details on the bottom of the page in the 2nd and 3rd photos below. $35 each  One pamphlet sold 

 

French Model of 1921 Manual, 1944 edition, printed during the German occupation of France, for the Vichy French Government. Featured on pages 399 -401 of Volume 8 of The Thompson Encyclopaedia. In the encyclopaedia it is described as “without a doubt the French manuals are the best Thompson manuals ever produced on the Model of 1921". This manual covers every detail on 85 pages plus very high-quality color foldouts and other illustrations.
It is in good condition apart from the cover, which is still present as you can see in the pictures, but has been separated from the main manual, due to some corrosion of the staples. $160

Lewis Gun Mechanism Made Easy, Although not Thompson related item, I also have a wartime Lewis gun pamphlet, if it is of interest to anyone. It has some nice fold out pages in this pamphlet explaining the guns mechanism. $35 Sold

One of the SAT Pamplets from June 1944 and the Lewis gun Mechanism made easy have been sold.

The two remaining SAT Pamphlets from 1944, are pictured below. The also have an appendix on the M1, and on fitting a spotlight projector to the M1, with images.

I also collect this kind of thing, could I ask which version of the 1940 SAT 21 you are selling as there’s more than one.

I am away from home at the moment, but I'll get back to you after the weekend with the details.

The cash from the sale of these is going to purchase display stands, another manikin to display the US Thompson pouches etc.

All for my upcoming 'show and tell' at the Blyth Battery Museum later this month, so it'll look a lot more professional than the last ad hoc unprepared display.

Doing my bit to keep the Thompson history alive. ?
