Not sure if this is becoming more common or just a fluke.

I just had an E-File Form Four on a Winchester 1918 BAR in a little less than 24 hours.  Submitted on the 17th and approved on the 19th!  Never had that happen before!

I am a dealer. In my experience, E-File F4 to an individual usually takes a week or less (in most cases). In many cases, it takes less than 48 hours... Efile F4 to a Trust can take a little longer (usually 2-6 weeks or so). Still, a vast improvement of the 12+ months it use to take!

Call me old school, but I think we should be getting an actual stamp for the transfer tax.  This could be by request after receiving the e-form.  We are paying for that stamp.

I love the fast times, don’t get me wrong there.  I just prefer having the actual stamped form and not a facsimile with an image that represents the stamp.

Jim, thank you!   Its been a long time.  I'm having to do some work on it.  Was owned by a movie prop company.  It has seen some hard use. but should make a great shooter!  Will post pictures later on once I have had a chance to "fix" some things.  Here are a few of the ones they sent me, when I purchased it.

Thanks,

Steve

  • 2 weeks later...

You guys are making envy here, my dealer helped me do a E file form 4 last week on a BRP SMG.

Had to send the fingerprint forms in separately, but tracking them, it shows they received them.

Now I can only hope.

Thanks  Moose

The last efiile Form 4 I did where I mailed the cards took about 2 weeks, so don't give up hope.  I was amazed since it takes at least a week for the PO to deliver mail anywhere now.

Not a fluke! My latest Form 4 (trust) was approved in 5 calendar days!

The BRP was approved in 10 days.    Wow.    You guys were correct.  I was used to the year long wait.

Hmmm, maybe I should find another toy.  Who cares if I only eat once a week.

Thanks guys

Moose
