SP Sarge
Maybe my eyes are going, but does it look to anyone else like this compensator is laser engraved rather than roll stamped? Makes me wonder if the barrel is a new made forgery too. TD.
The compensator does look laser engraved. Note that the barrel has what appears to be 27 fins. If so, this is most likely a Numrich Arms or Auto-Ordnance West Hurley barrel. Do the counting yourself and let me know if my eyes deceive me. Buyers, be careful out there! mnshooter
Definitely laser. There is no crosspin, or even a hole; just a blind plunge cut where the hole would be drilled. The contour and color of the front sight is also somewhat "unique". New old stock. Hmmm. Ok. Could possibly have been in storage for... months? bob241
Old Sotty57 also sells NOS lower receivers, bare in original wrap, his NOS on GB has been going on for quite a while, remember, none of his NOS items are ever listed as Original NOS, buyer beware. reconbob
Yes, this is good ol' Mckay Enterprises. There is a previous thread about his counterfeit "original Savage" trigger frames. McKay Enterprises/Scotty57 Trigger frames - Thompson Submachine Gun Message Board - MachineGunBoards.com Forums He even goes to the trouble to put one of these frames 1/2 way into some type of wrapper in an attempt to backup the original NOS hogwash. But boy, this barrel is even worse and instantly recognizable as new manufacture - the laser engraving, the fins are wrong, the sight is wrong, the stamp he chose to fake the Savage S is the wrong size (too big) and font. I don't know why he does this. He has a huge modern shop and I can't see that faking Thompson parts would really be worth it, and his shameless lying that these obvious fakes are original parts is really irritating. pvt81pvi
If you go to his website, and look under parts made by McKay, the Cutts is shown there.
Rekraps
Very interesting. Buyer beware and check the Forum! Sounds like he kinda discloses things.... but just barely. I call that quibbling.

anjong-ni
https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1114363644 The "torch-cut receiver sections" were whacked BEFORE being stamped... Phil
