Walter63a
Wow, that is interesting! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif The Urban Armory's number is local to me, (716) area code. That means they are located in Western New York State. I know that Class II manufacturers are allowed to operate in New York, but I had no idea they were that close. They are probably located in Buffalo, or one of its suburbs. Remember, the Crosby drums were manufactured in Buffalo. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/cool.gif Regards, Walter
TNKen
Unless he has gotten a license recently, Urban Armory acts as a broker for firearms. Not sure he has them in his possession. Ken
21 smoker
Going down the list...a lot of the prices seem to be 15%-20% higher than current levels of NFA stuff...nice variety though,...`schnellfire`...that must be a one of a kind...$9500. for mp40 tube gun...just a little high...yet the thompson seems about the right price range...good luck to the new owner, http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif
Sgt
Its good to see one in a reasonable price range. By the time you add in the drum and parts, seems like a good opportunity by today's standards. I'm sure it won't last long.
jerrys
I called, since I've been looking for a 28 to add to my collection. Ed told me it's a WH gun w/ Bridgeport internals.
Arthur Fliegenheimer
$15.5K for a WH TSMG with AO Bridgeport internals? There goes the last vestiges of the reasonable price range scenario.
Sig
Yeah well it has not sold that says a bunch.
JimFromFL
The demand is there. An it WILL sell but it may take about 2-3 months of posting before a buyer comes along. (This has been my observation with Thompsons and these prices. Also seems to be true for the housing market nowadays.)
21 smoker
Well,..I`ll tell you all here...after I got my Westy back from PK...I wouldn`t sell it for for all the tea in China!...let alone for $15,500.00, http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif
Hawkeye_Joe
Well I made an offer on the WH M1A1 that Autoweapons.com has sitting there at 14,500.00. They told me that it has only been there since 7-19-04 and they thanked me for the 11,500.00 offer but said they had sold 5 at that price since Feb http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/huh.gif and they would wait and get some suck.. I mean another buyer to pay their price.............Thank god I found a nice one at my price http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/tongue.gif ......Pics to follow I hope... http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif
John Jr
If its a westy, then that company is misrepresenting the gun. Jr
Sgt
Arrgg, a Westie at 15K is out pacing even Thompson greed. In a few years, I can pay for my house with my two Thompsons. Naah! I'd rather have the Thompsons. Now I get it; that explains why the value of these things have gone nutty.
jerrys
While you could look at it as "misrepresenting" the gun, the first think Ed said after I asked about the gun was that it was a WH. He made it very clear immediately. Actually he has two WH 28's. Then he went on to explain the internals. The other gun has Savage wood and (if I remember correctly) Savage internals. John Jr
QUOTE auto ord 28a bridgport parts drum and stick $15,500 This is the ad (the Thompson part) 28a would not indicate a Westy, as they are not marked as such (there is no "a", the 28's are even marked M1 in a different place too http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif ). Bridgeport, however mispelled, would further indicate a WW2 gun from the Auto Ord factory. So to me, its misrepresentation. Could the guy at least place the "WH" initials in the ad? Nope, he wanted to misrepresent the gun and waste everyones time. Buddy Hinton should zap him! You've got to love buddy, he is such a board nazi! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif
