M3 Grease gun - U.K based

Morning guys,

Managed to pick up a nice M3 Guide Lamp grease gun yesterday.

I am uk based so it is de milled but still cocks and moved bits and pieces.

Early serial number but seems to be re finished for Korea? Parkerised?

Nice pick-up! I'm always happy that these guns (and others) are still out there...

Regarding refinishing, the vast majority, if not all of the M3's were arsenal refinished after the war, yours looks just fine.

Nice looking Greasegun!  UK gun without the magwell welded sling attachment, even better.

It looks like the barrel is welded to the gun, is that correct?

Hi John, yes - very pleased with it!

The dealer did have several and this one was without the mag release welded handle.

Barrel welded sadly and a few other things internally to deactivate it.

Hi Ad Lav I’m also Uk based here’s my M3A1 similar deac spec to yours. Never even give the magwell sling attachment a thought as mine has one but the stamps are so much clearer without one! I just love the look of the Grease Gun such a compact little SMG with its folded stock and its slow thud thud rate of fire. Any way mines displayed with a Dirty Dozen look to it.
