H2munitions
Hello fellow thompson enthusiasts. Recently we did some thompson barrel threading for some customer builds. I thought this might be something of interest to others looking to suppress their Thompsons. Here is the process. We machine a bushing for a light press fit on the barrel behind the newly cut .578-28 threads. The bushing has a small hole thru one side which allows the bushing to be tig welded in place. The m1 style front sight can then be installed in place. For a converted barrel the price would be $200 shipped PLUS the cost of the barrel. Which varies depending on style of barrel chosen. So all in $320-$370 if you are purchasing a new barrel for the work. As an 07/02 we are also able to remove/install thompson barrels on semi autos, machine guns, and SBRs. If you're sending a newly registered SBR we can also handle the NFA laser engraving as well for $30 as an add on service. Would these barrels/services be of any interest to the thompson crowd? We have done a few for our in house builds and would like some feedback from the Thompson community here. Thanks all! Caleb
Gold1927a1
It's a cool idea but appeals to a very small crowd. Some guns are just meant to be left in factory configuration. Just my opinion. 1
Bayrain
Would be pretty sweet. Brownells had dome that in the past. Wouldn't mind getting one for my M1A1 but it would look doofy when I'm using it without the suppressor. Edited January 22 by Bayrain
Rekraps
Very nice work and very good looking.. but I do agree, very limited market. These guns were never suppressed.
shadycon
Why not make one that you can screw on a compensater when suppressor is removed?
Bayrain
Was going to say that BRP has a 5/8"-24 threaded Cutts comp for the Thompson knock off, but yall are doing .578-28 threaded pitch instead. Has a pretty sweet index as well. Also found more pictures of a suppressed thompson.
