Remo Williams 1
I got a set a week back. I can’t believe how heavy they are. I’ll probably only run the original wood grips, but I try to collect everything. Another set is on GB here: https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1161140329
NE Patriot
Remo, I saw that. The seller has an odd mix of of items, not very much Swedish K stuff. Did he say anything about the grip's origin, when you got yours?
Remo Williams 1
Joe, The seller did not. These look exactly like the grips that Relraps has on his green K. He posted the below in 2023 about the grips: So I sent the GB seller of the grips a question and here is his response to the Crown grips question: "I get these from a contact in Europe who has a connection to Swedish firearm/military circles. The grips are Swedish production, but it's entirely possible they were produced after the M/45 production had stopped." So it appears that the grips are not reproductions, but maybe later produced grip replacements (whether for military or civilian use I can't speak to). I have a set of flat black and the gray ones you see on the gun.
NE Patriot
Remo, I'm the seller that Rekraps spoke of. I haven't seen those grips in a long time, and was curious what the new seller said. They are hard to find. Joe

I bought two sets, one gray and one black and have the black ones on my M series Mack Daddy gun. they are clearly not cheap type reproductions and in my mind, most likely government contract as replacements for the nasty OEM wood ones. Rekraps
Now that you mention K, I've noted that the parts selection on GB is drying up. You'll never need a replacement bolt, BUT an extractor or two might be nice to have around. I'd pay the. price and pick one up.
Got Uzi
Don’t say “never need a replacement bolt” I’ve seen bolt bodies with worn out sear locking surfaces. It’s good to have a complete bolt on the shelf or in the range bag. Lot faster to do a “hot swap” at the range for a bolt vs trying to replace just the extractor. True, and the M45 is an odd bird in that the extractor is a BITCH to replace. The extractor spring and retaining clip are incredibly hard to remove and replace. The flat retainer that is usually found on Swedish kits and Port Said guns is easy to remove and install.
NE Patriot
The orig. extractor spring was excessively strong, probably to be "soldier proof" in northern Euro snow or Egyptian desert. I've switched to a lighter spring.
Rekraps
One thing not mentioned on the topic of the synthetic K grips. You will need to place tiny thin washers between the OEM grip screw head and the grip and one on the other side between the nut and the grip. Doing so will make the screw head and nut flush with the grip face. Washer source? Why HD of course!
