Spare parts kit

Recommended Posts

The carefully worded description never actually says that this item is acually one of the objects described.

V/R, Karl

Edit: The description actually says, "I'm not selling as an original". The seller knows that they have a repop. It very well may have SOME original parts in it. I seriously doubt that the case is OG.

I see it hasn’t gotten any cheaper since the last go around either!

Which probably means he has multiple units and people are buying... ugh.

He states, "IM NOT SELLING AS A ORIGINAL BECAUSE I HAVE NEVER SEEN ONE IN PERSON", then what has he got?

What has he got? A slight tinge of conscience, perhaps. He clearly knows it’s not real based his prevaricating words.

He advertises it as "THE KIT HAS EVERYTHING TO SERVICE A 1928 OR M1 THOMPSON IN THE FIELD" but it contains only one hammer and the '28 and M1 hammers are slightly different.  The one shown is for a '28

This is a picture of a genuine U.S. Marine Corps "Service Kit." In all my years collecting and researching the Thompson submachine gun, I have only seen one. It is pictured on the next page in my Amateur's Guide book (page 140). Sometimes books can save you a lot of misery (and money).
