68coupe
The carefully worded description never actually says that this item is acually one of the objects described. V/R, Karl Edit: The description actually says, "I'm not selling as an original". The seller knows that they have a repop. It very well may have SOME original parts in it. I seriously doubt that the case is OG. Edited March 30 by 68coupe

What has he got? A slight tinge of conscience, perhaps. He clearly knows it’s not real based his prevaricating words.
TBird
Any Marines ever see an accessory marked this way? Where are the government part number and contract numbers?
StrangeRanger
He advertises it as "THE KIT HAS EVERYTHING TO SERVICE A 1928 OR M1 THOMPSON IN THE FIELD" but it contains only one hammer and the '28 and M1 hammers are slightly different. The one shown is for a '
TD.
This is a picture of a genuine U.S. Marine Corps "Service Kit." In all my years collecting and researching the Thompson submachine gun, I have only seen one. It is pictured on the next page in my Amateur's Guide book (page 140). Sometimes books can save you a lot of misery (and money).
