New M107 owner wanting some scope guidance...

Recommended Posts

I know that everyone says to get a scope from Nightforce, but money got a lot tighter this year.  So, I am looking at some other options.  The manufacturers of the scopes I am looking at all say that they will work fine on a Barrett.  So, these are the options:

As far as a mount goes, it seems that LaRue may have discontinued the LT107.  So, I am looking at a couple of others.

DLOC replied to me and said that their mount will work fine on a Barrett.  MAK has not responded yet (they are in Germany).  I see that a lot
of people recommend the mounts from Spuhr.  What is the difference between the regular and the cantilever one?  I can get the cantilever one
in FDE, but it is $85 more.  Let me know what you think. Your input will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

I have a (Gen 1) Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 FFP with the EBR-2C (MOA) reticle on my Barrett M99.

Great scope zero problems.  (Also available with a MIL reticle but I've been thinking and shooting in MOA for 50 years, too late to change)

Go with the Barrett Zero-Gap rings and use their torque specs nor Vortex's
