SCAMMER ALERT: "Dana Richard" / tommydummy4 targeting WTB posts

Heads up to everyone on the boards. I was recently targeted by a scammer after posting a WTB ad for a Beretta 38A.

The scammer reached out via PM then email using the alias Dana Richard (richard.dann990@gmail.com), offering a matching Beretta 38A for $27k. When asked for pics, they provided photos with a handwritten note using the same forum handle tommydummy4 and that days date.

A quick dive into the forum history shows this exact combination (Dana Richard / tommydummy4) is a known scam identity previously caught trying to pull $5k+ wire fraud scams on Swedish K and M45 parts kits. The photos they are using are legitimate, but entirely stolen from old auctions.

The reverse lookup on the phone number they provided goes to a Deshawn Armstrong. If this guy hits your inbox or PMs, do not send funds. Cut contact immediately.

Sorry if I posted in wrong spot didn't see a proper spot for scammers or a way to notify admin.  Hope this helps and is in proper spot.  Feel free to pm me with any questions.

Thanks, I marked that profile as a scammer so he cannot post, not sure if that also blocks him from PMs.  This is temporary to give David a chance to take a look at this.

I reported tommydummy4 months ago to the Admins when I discovered I was being scammed on an MP40 kit. I got suspicious after I asked for a copy of their driver’s license. The South Carolina DL they sent me in the photo was fake but the address is real. The house belongs to an older couple and there is a “Dana Richard” that is associated with that address…but she’s a 40-year old female, not a 57-year old male as indicated on the DL. Also, when speaking with them over the phone, the voice is run through some sort of scrambler or AI text to voice option. I have a lot of information on this guy!  Also, the photos of the parts were run through some sort of AI imaging program to change the background. There were several things that looks suspicious to me. They also used a program to replicate a handwritten note with their handle and mine and the date, as in the OP’s situation. Why the Admins don’t remove this guy is beyond belief! I warned them and he is still lurking here preying on members….unacceptable!

Not all admins and moderators on the board have the option to remove someone.
