Skip Greenwade
Posting this as an FYI...Day One (05 August) of the next Poulin's Auction has a total of 8 transferable MP40s listed, to include two matching bnz42 examples. There's also an MP44 and an STG44. Oh, and in the event anyone's lucky numbers hit between now and then, there is a wonderful, complete FG42 on the block! A number of the guns are from the Shooters' Outpost Military Museum Collection in Hookset, NH. Skip
junglewalk
.......I was there for the early bidding, for the one MP-38......It was supposed be for 5 days once open to the floor!.....On the first pub/day, the MP-38 in one hour and 20 mins, SOLD for 27.5K, well over my high bid of 22K and the rug was pulled out from under me, it was over. ......I read all the lawyer speak before starting, and am at a loss for understanding what went wrong.......I am upset, and looks like unless you are actually there, early/internet bidders have no chance......It's all crap..........Does anyone out there have a MP-38 for sale! signal_4
A local guy here where I live got the BAR for $70k doing online bidding. Totally ridiculously priced but to each their own what they do with their retirement money.
Husker402
I’m actually surprised a few of them didn’t sell for more. Obviously, the higher conditions ones brought much higher prices but that makes sense. I put in few max bids early on and left them alone (was outbid). I try not to get too emotionally involved. I was hoping to pick up another one though. Maybe next time. The auction fees can really add up though.
